For many years Ultimate Gears Founder Richard Harris had the idea of creating an online store that was a little bit different from the rest. He didn’t just want to find some products and stock the store. Richard wanted to offer quality products that he personally tested and was sure to meet the expectations of the fussiest outdoors enthusiast and also offered the best value for money. With decades of experience in the outdoors in four-wheel driving, hiking, mountaineering and whitewater rafting just to mention a few, he decided that the best products to start with would naturally be for the four-wheel drive enthusiast with products like the new innovative EQUALISER and the high-quality ULTIMATE CAMP BBQ and only add more products after testing each one.

 With a commitment to only provide quality products Ultimate Gear was created and launched in February 2024. As the online store expands, we know our customers will savour the peace of mind that comes from having each product tested by someone who is passionate about the outdoors and has been involved in product development for more than thirty years. Richard has been involved in the creation of countless products from rock climbing equipment to specialist mountaineering equipment. He has tested products in the deserts of Australia and on mountains all over the world.
